Nah, this one is pretty out of focus too. The 50mm f/1.8 is an incredibly sharp lens, but it has trouble focusing on anything closer than about a foot and a half. If you look in the upper left corner, you see that I was actually shooting through a chain-link fence to get this shot. In order to make the fence disappear as much as possible, I had to keep the aperture wide open, which gave me a very tiny slice of sharpness for my DOF. Also, it was getting dark fast and I couldn't get any faster shutter speed than 1/5 sec without cranking up the ISO, which would have killed the colors. Shooting handheld at 1/5 sec in the freezing cold is quite a challenge, but I didn't want to get out my tripod because I was essentially standing in the middle of the road to get this shot. So given the circumstances, this was about the best I could have hoped for, but you're right, I really wish it could be a little sharper.
